Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long have you been photographing weddings?
A: I'm a relative new comer to the world of wedding photography having been shooting since 2008 professionally. Before that I did a lot of shoots for friends and family. I do beleive that despite the fact I have a shorter history than some, that I provide a fresh approach and especially for the "younger" generations I can relate very well.

Q: How many weddings do you shoot per year?
A: I don't beleive in spreading myself too thinly or diluting my product or services. This is why I won't accept any more than 25 weddings per calendar year. I want to be able to give each and every couple the best possible service with Pre-wedding consultations, engagement shoots and be there when ever they need me. I don't think I could do this is I was to shoot 50-75 weddings per year.

Q: We are getting married in 18 months, when do I book?
A: In all honesty ASAP!! I only shoot one wedding per day and as such I only have a about 50 Saturdays available per year, and as you know I will only shoot 25 weddings per year. I usually receive bookings 18-24 months in advance and the summer months are often the quickest to go. If you want to book, I require a £500 booking fee to secure your date.

Q: What happens after we book?
A: I will send you a few emails and try to meet up with you as soon as possible over a coffee or glass of wine so that we can have a nice chat about your day, get some details about timings etc and arrange to meet up again several time before the big day!

Q: Do you offer engagement shoots?
A: I certainly do, however, there is an extra charge for this.

Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: I use Canon Professional cameras and lenses. I always carry at least one back up for each camera and lens, so if the worst happens, I don't stop shooting.

Q: How many images do you take on the day?
A: Generally anything from 1500-2500. From this I will whittle the images downs to around 300-500 for your finished set.

Q: How long will it take to see our images?
A: I generally try to get your proof book and online gallery to you within 10 weeks of your wedding day. During extremely busy periods this may take up to 12 weeks, but I will endeavour to get it to you as soon as possible.

Q: How many images go into our album?
A: This depends. I always advise our couples to choose between 30-50 main images for their album I.e. Images of people, and I try to make the rest of the album up with the details that really tell the story of the day. Typically the finished album has around 120 images in it.
